      The Extreme-ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT) on SOHO showed the Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) of 7 April 1997 was accompanied by a powerful solar flare, visible as the white patch in the top right frame. The flare triggered a supersonic wave that swept through the corona. [Image Date: 07-04-97] [97.07.010-001]
