The multitude of data that Envisat will constantly send to receiving stations will document the Earth’s environment with an amount of detail unprecedented to date. The elaboration of the raw data will provide information that will be useful to thousands of scientists, engineers, institutes, industries and to users in general. It will contribute to increased understanding of the oceans, the atmosphere and the biosphere and also provide public institutions and companies with data that will be useful for work and leisure. This data will also assist national and international organizations n their efforts to to prevent natural catastrophes.
