Forecast for total ozone distribution over the South Pole, produced on 27 August 2003 using Envisat-MIPAS measurements and 4d-Var assimilation techniques by BASCOE, the Belgian Assimiliation System of Chemical Observations from Envisat.
The ozone hole extension is clearly indicated by the blue colours.
