      SMART-1 AMIE image of a 275 km area close to the lunar north pole (upper left corner) observed on 29 December 2004 from 5500 km altitude. This shows a heavily cratered highland terrain, and is used to monitor illumination of polar areas, and long shadows cast by large crater rims. Note that this image was obtained with AMIE clear channel.
