    • Description

The dynamism and innovative capacity of high-technology SMEs are of high value to Europe’s space industry. But SMEs are known to face a number of critical issues which affect their ability to participate in space technology programmes.

In response to these, ESA and the European Commission have launched SineQuaNet – a network able to organise, structure and deliver access to technical facilities, expert support; and training services for SMEs. Ultimately, the aim is to reinforce the profitable flow of innovation into and out of the European space technology business.

A series of workshops is being held over the period May 2006 to may 2007. Each aims to provide a mix of concrete examples of assistance provided to SMEs, and debate & dialogue – a change for SMEs to help ESA ensure SineQuaNet will meet the expectations.

Attending one or all of the workshops is an opportunity for SMEs to meet new contacts, gain new insight, and improve the understanding on how best to participate in the business and technology of European space programmes.
