    • Description

ESA astronauts Frank De Winne (left) and André Kuipers (right)during training with the Japanese robotic arm (JRMS). The astronauts practice moving a payload from the H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) to its final location on the outside of the Japanese Kibo laboratory. De Winne has the task of steering the robotic arm, whilst Kuipers takes on the role of steering the cameras and helping to keep an eye on the operations - in particular to help avoid any collisions.
