The 'Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer' (GOCE) is due to be placed in a low altitude orbit by a Russian Rockot vehicle 16 March 2009, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Northern Russia, where it is currently undergoing final checks.
On 5 March, the GOCE satellite was mated to the Breeze Upper Stage.
