      Map of the ionosphere around noon GMT, showing ionospheric scintillations due to incoming solar energy in terms of the GNSS navigation errors that could result. Galileo units incorporate a sophisticated ionospheric simulation to estimate potential errors. The EGNOS system also gathers real-time data on the ionosphere state to deliver corrections.
