    • Description

Space around Earth is awash with radiation, some of it coming from the highly dynamic Sun with its transient explosive eruptions and its constantly outflowing solar wind as well as radiation from further afield, known as cosmic rays. Spacecraft must be designed to withstand these dynamic, and often adverse conditions. Proba-V's Energetic Particle Telescope will gather more information on radiation conditions prevailing in Earth orbit.
