    • Description

The photo shows (from left to right): Robbert Dijkgraaf from the Royal Dutch Academy of Science, Inuuteq Holm Olsen Greenland’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, HRH Prince of Orange and Johan van de Gronden Director of World-Wide Fund for Nature NL.

The exhibition, which is being held at the the Dutch museum of culture and science, Museon, in The Hague, highlights the cultural relationship between the Netherlands and Greenland. Both countries have a vested interest in understanding exactly how Arctic ice is changing and the role it plays in moderating sea level and climate. By gathering detailed information on the changing thickness of ice, ESA’s CryoSat ice mission is helping to address these issues.
