      The ESA Twin-Otter leaving Alert in northern Canada on its way to rendezvous with NASA’s P-3 aircraft over the Arctic Ocean. The Twin-Otter carries the ASIRAS radar altimeter, which is an airborne version of the instrument on the CryoSat satellite, and a laser scanner.
