This graph compares sea-surface salinity measurements from SMOS to measurements from the in situ Argo probes. Results appear to be better in warmer waters, like the subtropical Atlantic Ocean (purple) contrary to cold waters of the high latitudes of the Pacific Ocean (red). The measurements were taken in the period of August–September 2010 and 2011.
